Fat Dissolving Treatment – Aftercare

Following these aftercare instructions will help support healing and optimise the results of your treatment.

​

Immediately After Treatment

  • Swelling in the treated area

  • Redness or warmth

  • Tenderness or sensitivity

  • Mild bruising

  • Firmness or small lumps under the skin

​

Swelling is common and may last several days, depending on the treatment area

​

For the First 24 Hours

  • Avoid touching, rubbing, or massaging the treated area unless advised by your practitioner

  • Avoid strenuous exercise

  • Avoid alcohol consumption

  • Avoid excessive heat including saunas, steam rooms, hot baths, and sunbeds

  • Avoid applying makeup if the treatment area is on the face

For the First 48 Hours

  • Avoid excessive pressure on the treated area

  • Avoid tight clothing over the treatment area where possible

  • Keep the treated area clean

​

For the First 5–7 Days

  • Avoid vigorous exercise or activities that increase heat and swelling

  • Avoid other aesthetic treatments on the same area

​

Managing Swelling and Discomfort

  • Swelling and tenderness are expected and part of the fat dissolving process

  • A cold compress may be applied gently to the area if needed

  • Over-the-counter pain relief such as paracetamol may be used if required (avoid anti-inflammatory medication unless advised)

General Advice

  • Stay well hydrated

  • Maintain a healthy lifestyle and balanced diet

  • Results develop gradually as the body naturally processes the treated fat cells
