Fat Dissolving Treatment – Aftercare

Following these aftercare instructions will help support healing and optimise the results of your treatment.

Immediately After Treatment

Swelling in the treated area
-
Redness or warmth
-
Tenderness or sensitivity
-
Mild bruising
-
Firmness or small lumps under the skin
​
Swelling is common and may last several days, depending on the treatment area
​
For the First 24 Hours
-
Avoid touching, rubbing, or massaging the treated area unless advised by your practitioner

Avoid strenuous exercise
-
Avoid alcohol consumption
-
Avoid excessive heat including saunas, steam rooms, hot baths, and sunbeds
-
Avoid applying makeup if the treatment area is on the face

For the First 48 Hours

Avoid excessive pressure on the treated area

Avoid tight clothing over the treatment area where possible

Keep the treated area clean

For the First 5–7 Days

Avoid vigorous exercise or activities that increase heat and swelling
-
Avoid other aesthetic treatments on the same area
​
Managing Swelling and Discomfort
-
Swelling and tenderness are expected and part of the fat dissolving process
-
A cold compress may be applied gently to the area if needed
-
Over-the-counter pain relief such as paracetamol may be used if required (avoid anti-inflammatory medication unless advised)

General Advice

Stay well hydrated
-
Maintain a healthy lifestyle and balanced diet
-
Results develop gradually as the body naturally processes the treated fat cells
